Prevention of sexual transmission of HIV

The ABC Rule

A

-Abstinence for youth, including the delay of sexual debut and abstinence
until marriage.

B

-Being tested for HIV and being faithful in marriage and monogamous relationships.

C

-Correct and consistent use of condoms for those who practice high-risk behaviours.

Prevention of HIV through blood

i)The blood need to be screened test first before transfer to another people
ii)Do not share personal things especially shaving blade with HIV patient

Prevention of HIV transmission from Mother To child

i)Avoiding unwanted pregnancies among HIV positive women
ii)Preventing the transmission of HIV from HIV positive mothers to their infants during pregnancy, labour, delivery and breastfeeding.
